Chorlton fst:Very good reports on the numbers and ales were comented on at the last DBF fest meeting on 15/7;  @DBF we'll have fewer numbers because of the capacity issue and it will be our first event...
nonetheless we need to keep the essence of a good beer festival to the fore :  good real ales, served well and the right quantity...   We are working on about 300+/-  per session and will have the extra beer if the calculations are right ...  Thanks to experience and support of other fest organisers we hope to be near on this one.. so no one goes home thirsty!! 

Key to this is the commitment from the volunteers& supporters from this stage forward and throughout to the 'breakdown' on the Sunday!

The 'Beirmiester's cousin" is going on Friday and has e'd a number of hte  interested   ... would be wort h getting a team down to chesk it out..

I cannot make the Friday session, (Daughter's 18th Birthday Party), but will likely go on the Saturday, for research purposes only of course.  Chorlton looks like a comparable event so it would be useful to get a feel for handling 1500 people passing through the door, the setup of the venue, number of people needed to run it, that sort of thing.

I will be going to Chorlton Beer Festival possibly on the Friday evening session. Anyone else going?
